On Memorial Day Weekend (May 24-25), the Fayetteville Downtown Alliance will host the 9th annual Glory Days event. The Annual Glory Days Festival in Fayetteville, NC, honors our strong military heritage. There will be family oriented activities for everyone, including arts, crafts, and food vendors.
This year Fayetteville will again host the Field of Honor where we will behold a beautiful display of thousands of American flags, each honoring a brave member of our Armed Forces. The flags are flying at the Airborne Museum and extend into the future site of Veterans Park. This living display of heroism serves as a patriotic tribute to the strength and unity of Americans, and will honor all who are currently
serving, those who have served, and the men and women who have made the supreme sacrifice for our nation’s security and freedom. Opening dedication of the Field of Honor was at 11am on Saturday, May
9, 2009.
